Serious local dance students, ages 11-18, are encouraged to audition. Applicants must be enrolled in at least two intermediate or advanced technique courses per week in ballet or modern dance at a local dance studio and have studied at least two years of ballet.

The first audition is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for dancers aged 11 to 12. The second audition, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., is reserved for dancers aged 13 to 18. Dancers must bring their dancing shoes to the audition.

All applicants will be asked to complete a brief form indicating performance and training experience.

The 2019-2020 season includes the annual performances of the Choreography Showcase 2010 at the Lettie Jensen Community Center in Amherst and a spring performance at the Sentry Theater next March.

The season marks Point Dance Ensemble‘s 20th anniversary and will feature alumni from PDE, as well as guest performers from REDance, a Chicago-based dance company. The season also offers PDE Company members the opportunity to participate in the community production of The Nutcracker Jazzed at the Sentry Theater and community outreach programs throughout Portage County.
