It can be seen from the graph above
that the Inspiration
dramatically increases
No-Stop Times compared with open circuit.
Inert gas (ie.nitrogen) absorption or gas loading - limits the dive time allowed
at different depths before you are obliged to take decompression stops. On open
circuit you are constantly breathing 79% of nitrogen throughout the dive.
Oxygen-rich diving with the Inspiration means that the percentage of inert gas
in the mix is considerably lower and varies with depth. For example, (diving on
Setpoint 1.3 bar) there is zero % nitrogen in the mix at 3m (ie.100% O2), 35%
nitrogen at 20m, 68% nitrogen at 30m and only increases to the open circuit
level of 79% nitrogen at 50m.
This means that with the Inspiration there is greatly reduced inert gas loading
throughout the dive and consequently allows
significantly
increased No-Stop Times.
