RBs in general | Inspiration history | Inspiration CCR | Manual CCR | Gas consumption | Decompression | Wreck | Tech dive | Training | Faults | Pros and cons | Active flow SCR | Passive flow SCR

The above graph illustrates the
dramatic differences in examples of the decompression times that would be
required for diving to the depths for the times shown.
As you return to the surface on the Inspiration, the %O2 increases and
consequently the % nitrogen decreases. This results in
quicker inert gas
off-gassing and greatly reduced decompression obligations.
In real terms, this means with the Inspiration Closed Circuit, a dive to 30m for
60 minutes with only a requirement of about 12 minutes decompression time, is
now a realistic dive.
In short, the Inspiration Closed Circuit gives all of the well known advantages
of Nitrox but without the problems of pre-mixing, gas switching, carrying extra
cylinders, fore-casting the target depth or the depth limitations.
