Training and discipline
To safely dive a CCR takes a lot of training and practise. It's almost completely different than diving open circuit. A small but important issue is buoyancy. On open circuit we have grown accustomed to breathing out gas to lower our buoyancy. On the rebreather we exhale into some kind of counter lung, why the buoyancy will not change during our breathing cycle. This takes a lot of skill to master the buoyancy on the CCR.
To start a training program on the Inspiration CCR you must first be qualified an advanced nitrox diver. The CCR course will take 6 full days and includes a confined water session and approximately 10 dives in open water. This will qualify you to dive non-deco dives within the recreational limits. When you have dived some time and gained more experience, you can develop your skills and limits with a normox trimix course and eventually a trimix course
